Here is a picture I thought came out really nice of a flower on our property near our front steps.

We’re all from somewhere else!

It has been miserably hot and humid the past few weeks.
Today we seem to be back to normal for a while. It’s a beautiful Friday afternoon in Peterborough, NH and all the windows are open letting a slight breeze through.
So here is a message where I was testing out moving this website to a new web server. Again, was very easy to edit. I have the plugin I use for this set to create a draft now so the post is just there waiting for me to create it into what I want to have displayed.
Here’s a test post added manually to see how the formatting is in it. I’ll even add a picture in here to see how it displays. The picture of our Margaritaville clock that Bruce and Robin gave me for my birthday while we were in Margaritaville in 2021 I believe now hangs in our three season back porch where we are reminded of the fun we have going to St. Stomas.
This is an example of a quick post that I added to. The picture came through the email okay but was upside down for some reason. However, it was a quick edit to correct it. And a quick edit to brush up the text.
Greetings to our CharlesWorks email users!
Just a notification that there will be a server modification done that will take under 10 minutes done between 5 and 5:30 this afternoon.
The should be no disruption in mail flow although the server will be inaccessible for as long as 10 minutes.
Thanks for your understanding as we continue to keep things up to date and secure for you!
Enjoy your day!

Email server notifications could be a really important use of this type of functionality. Unfortunately, some people lose their minds if their email doesn’t work 100% the way they expect it. If you knew what I know about email transports, you might be surprised that it works at all. In a nutshell, email requires that nearly a dozen servers all work perfectly in order to get the email from one place to another. Amazingly, it works extremely well. However, the monkey wrench in the works is the increased mitigation of spam and phishing emails. I predict it will only get worse as we move forward.
Hello, CharlesWorks email users,
Hope you are all doing well.
Just a heads up!
We will be doing some server maintenance tomorrow:
Thursday, 4/7/22, between 7:00 and 10:00 pm EDT
on this email server.
If you are reading this notice, then you are affected by the maintenance.
This work may result in intermittent access to your email accounts during that time.
Thanks in advance for your understanding!
Take care,
Charles
Again, another example of a notification that could quickly be added to a website to keep that site’s regular visitors apprised of important notifications. I can imagine this could even be used for sales and that sort of information.
